ABOUT
Bath, England
The Royal Crescent glows in the final light of the day, its Georgian curve catching the warm tones of a soft sunset. The wide green lawn in the foreground settles into shadow while the sky above shifts gently from gold to rose. Street lamps begin to glow, adding a quiet warmth that complements the fading daylight. The architecture stands calm and assured, each window reflecting the calm of the moment.
This photograph captures the elegance and atmosphere that define the Crescent. The long sweep of its façade, paired with the open space before it, creates a sense of balance and stillness. The early evening colour offers a moment where history, light, and place come together with a quiet, timeless beauty.

The Process
The image is printed on Hahnemühle Photo Rag Baryta 310gsm, an archival cotton paper renowned for its exceptional tonal depth and natural surface. This paper is prized for both colour and black and white work, offering rich blacks, refined highlights, and beautifully controlled saturation. Each image is individually prepared and soft-proofed for this paper to ensure accuracy between screen and print.
The print is presented with an 8 cm natural white museum-grade passepartout, allowing the image to breathe and providing a sense of calm spatial separation from the frame. It is finished in a slim 20 mm black oak frame, chosen for its understated elegance and contemporary character. Museum glass completes the piece, offering high clarity and UV protection while minimising reflections.
